Sierra builds its teaming arrangements on trust with a focus on providing a win-win proposition for all concerned. We have enjoyed a long and successful partnership with the Navy based upon our commitment to quality service, whether delivered by Sierra directly or by our subcontractor partners. In the role of a Prime Contractor, it is our responsibility to provide the single face to the customer. Communication channels are simplified and ensure accurate translation of requirements, issues and recognition, as well as commensurate action to be taken.

Sierra continually demonstrates the use and implementation of innovative best business practices to generate cost savings for our customers. We have executed methodologies such as the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and LEAN for our clients in NAVSEA, NAVAIR and within the private sector, in some cases realizing cost savings of magnitude improvement. The Sierra team is certified to train and implement TOC and LEAN initiatives into organizations such as the Virtual SYSCOM. Sierra, as well as some of our Team Members, is ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certified. The ISO 9001:2000 process of on-going systematic process improvements has improved efficiency and productivity, reduced paperwork, and improved workflow resulting in reduced cost, which ultimately lowers rates to the government.

Sierra has demonstrated experience and capability in managing teams comprised of multiple large and small business team members. Proper control of subcontractors requires a subcontract vehicle with well defined tasking and includes disciplined management and reporting procedures. Sierra’s corporate and management resources have the technical experience and extensive knowledge to monitor the technical and cost performance of its team members thus ensuring the quality and timeliness of our products and services.
